Settlers chop down Nablus olive grove on eve of harvest

advertisement

Nablus – Ma'an – Dozens of chainsaw-wielding Israeli settlers cut down more than 150 olive trees in to the northern West Bank village of Burin, south of Nablus on Monday.

The assault came a few days before Palestinian farmers throughout the country begin harvesting their olives.

This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

When you make statements like this with out any prooof of tentiure it is asking for someone to disown you. The reason for the cutting which they do evey thrird year like the vine growers in Napa California. It shows you are tring to make Israel out to be bad people. Israel has given the world new ways of growing and technology in many areas. Boycott or do u mean to starve your own family just so u can spot of with a loose tonuge which sinks ships. You need to go back to school and learn Hortaculchering or tree farming. You can call and talk to Liyel Tunner family Yakima, Wa. they have been growing for125 years. chuan

Ahahaha @ chopping down olive trees to help them grow. Now that's a first. Even more ludicrous is saying the settlers cut down the Palestinian olive trees to help the Palestinians. It can take an olive tree anywhere from 5-20 years or more to grow from a seedling to being able to produce olives. These trees live to be hundreds of years old, some as old as 500 years. That's why it's criminal that these settler terrorists cut down or burn these trees, many of them ancient. Good grief, the longer I am on this site, the sillier the comments get.

"You need to go back to school and learn Hortaculchering or tree farming."

They did not remove the vigourous shoots or suckers as they are called, they cut the trees down, not prune them. Take your own advice.

After murder and mayhem , I have to say that killing those trees is a crime against the soul. Horrible crime. Makes me so sad.
